CHeST is proud to stand in solidarity with the long COVID patient community by endorsing the CARE for Long COVID Act.

On March 15, 2023, Senators Kaine, Markey, and Duckworth reintroduced the Comprehensive Access to Resources and Education (CARE) for Long COVID Act.  This groundbreaking legislation seeks to improve research, provide resources, and increase access to care for those living with long-term COVID-19 symptoms. CHeST is proud to stand in solidarity with the long COVID patient community by endorsing the CARE for Long COVID Act.

The CARE for Long COVID Act is an important step towards ensuring that people affected by long COVID receive the supports and services they need to live their best lives. The number of Americans who are experiencing long-term symptoms of COVID-19 is truly staggering, and they deserve comprehensive solutions from Congress. We urge Congress to pass the CARE for Long COVID Act to create resources and establish a path forward for the long COVID patient community.

The text of the CARE for Long COVID Act can be found here. A summary of the legislation can be found here.
