Pandemic Legal Assistance Network (PLAN): Volunteer Attorney
We are looking for volunteer attorneys to participate in the Pandemic Legal Assistance Network, which is a program that provides pro bono legal assistance to people affected by COVID-19. We provide professional liability insurance, mentorship, and training to lawyers who volunteer with us. Volunteers can sign-up to participate in the program using this form.
Responsibilities:
- Receive client referrals
- Provide counsel to clients
- Work collaboratively with Pandemic Patients staff to resolve clients’ legal issues
Qualifications:
- Must be licensed to practice law in at least one state
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong legal research and analysis skills
- Experience in one or more of the following areas of law is preferred:
- Disability insurance
- Health insurance
- Workers’ compensation
- Employment law
- Housing law
Pandemic Legal Assistance Network (PLAN): Attorney Recruiter
We are looking for volunteers to help us recruit attorneys to participate in the Pandemic Legal Assistance Network, which is a program that provides pro bono legal assistance to people affected by COVID-19.
Responsibilities:
- Research how to publicize volunteer opportunities with the Pandemic Legal Assistance Network
- Develop and implement a recruitment strategy to attract attorneys to volunteer for the program
- Communicate with potential volunteers to discuss their participation in the program
Qualifications:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong research skills
- Knowledge of the legal system and legal terminology
- Competency speaking with attorneys about legal topics
Pandemic Pulse: Guest Contributor
We are looking for writers to author articles about COVID-19 for the Pandemic Pulse. This is a great opportunity for people who are passionate about sharing their thoughts on complex, evolving issues with the public. Articles can be informational, educational, analytical, or journalistic. Writers can also submit op-eds for publication in the Pandemic Pulse.

- Stay up-to-date on current events regarding COVID-19
- Periodically author original content

- Excellent communication skills
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Experience authoring credible and high-quality content

General: Fundraiser
We are looking for individuals who can help us raise funds to support the expansion of our programs. Volunteers are encouraged to pursue creative strategies to raise funds for the organization. We also encourage volunteers to identify and develop their fundraising niche, including corporate partnerships, individual giving, major gifts, and more.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deploy fundraising strategies
- Identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors
- Solicit donations from individuals, businesses, and organizations
- Participate in Pandemic Patients’ fundraising campaigns
Qualifications:
- Highly motivated
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in teams
- Competency with fundraising principles and applicable laws and regulations
General: CPA
We are looking for a certified public accountant (CPA) to assist with our financial recordkeeping and tax matters. We are interested in building a relationship with a volunteer CPA who can contribute 2-3 hours per month.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and financial reports
- Advise on accounting practices, procedures, and internal controls
- Prepare tax returns and provide tax guidance
- Monitor compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Perform audits of financial records and activities
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid CPA license
- Experience in nonprofit accounting and/or financial management
- Strong organizational and communication skills
