On October 12, 2022, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) amended the Emergency Use Authorizations (EUAs) for the bivalent COVID-19 vaccine boosters, making them available to children.

On September 30, 2022, California Governor Gavin Newsom signed AB 2098 into law. This new law will subject physicians and surgeons to discipline by the state’s medical boards if they spread misinformation or disinformation about COVID-19.

On July 29, 2022, the California Occupational Safety and Health Standards Board (Cal/OSHA) proposed to implement new workplace safety standards for large employers operating in the state.
On August 11, 2022, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) issued new guidance, which includes updated recommendations for how individuals should respond to a potential or confirmed exposure to COVID-19.
