CHeST is proud to announce its endorsement of the Stop the Wait Act (H.R. 883 and S. 320), which seeks to end the 5-month waiting period for individuals to receive Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) benefits, as well as allow those who are uninsured or unable to afford insurance during the 29-month waiting period for Medicare to receive coverage.
Summary: The CDC has modified its structure and added covid-19 vaccines to its recommended immunization schedules. Johns Hopkins University & Medicine will be ending its Coronavirus Resource Center’s collection and reporting of COVID-19 data on March 10, 2023. The HHS has laid out the end of the PHE, providing more information in the form of a fact sheet from CMS early next week.
Summary: One study examined the risks and safety of public health in the tourism industry, using 751 SSCI articles from 2008 to 2022. Results will provide insights into the current state of the industry and help inform future strategies for mitigating risks and improving safety.
