Summary: One study evaluated the use of GWAS and eQTL to identify genetic factors associated with COVID-19, as well as the effectiveness of a SARS-CoV-2 vaccine in mice. Another study examined the degree of mortality caused by Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) reactivation in the acute phase of COVID-19 disease. Results showed that EBV reactivation is associated with increased mortality in COVID-19 patients.
